Greg West is the inaugural Chairman of the Surat Basin Regional Development Corporation. He is a passionate 4th generation Chinchilla-ite. This means he lives and breaths the area and has a passion to ensure that the region grows and is sustainable for future generations. Greg has just finished two years as President of the Chinchilla Economic and Tourism Development Association (CETDA) and has been involvement with the Chinchilla Chamber of Commerce since the early 1990's. During the time as president of the CETDA, the organisation was able to host two Surat Basin conferences in Chinchilla to inform the community and businesses about the potential of the Surat Basin Energy Province. He is now dedicating his time to the newly incorporated Surat Basin Regional Development Corporation. Greg comes from a very diverse business back ground. From owing, a business software and training company, to retail operations. The retail operations at one stage employed over 200 people. In his early days he was an Aeronautical Engineer working on the FA/18 Hornet aircraft. These days when he is not dedicating his time to the region and the town he overseas his current development and construction companies. Warren Daniells strengths are his passion for business and the success of others around him. He spent 20 years as owner of numerous supermarkets and other businesses. He held a position as a board member representing retailers that launched IGA Supermarkets in Queensland and Australia. Warren has nearly a decade of experience in the real estate industry, culminating as the founding principal of Chinchilla First National Real Estate before selling to his business partner in 2007. His involvement in the Chinchilla real estate industry means he has a thorough understanding of property marketing and development, with the local knowledge to back it up. Warren has accepted a board position on the newly formed group, Chinchilla Community Commerce and Industry Inc. that will help the town better position itself as the region grows. He is also involved in the marketing of Surat Basin Homes in Chinchilla and the driver behind many of the region's most exciting and innovative residential, industrial and commercial developments. warren@suratbasindevelopments.com.au |
